Design, paint, panel fabrication, on-site install
A 28'x28', hand painted, modular wooden floor - commissioned by Robert Long Flora & Event Design for an Atlanta based wedding reception. The floor is made up of 49 individual, 1/4" thick birch wood tiles. Each square was sanded, primed on both sides, with two coats of a durable matte deck paint, layered with hand painted design, and finished with a thin, protective polyurethane enamel. The piece included a complementing floor with similar design, sized 8'x12', and positioned at the venue's entrance.
